One soap bar that can do it all! This exfoliating facial cleansing soap draws toxins from deep in the pores for a sparkly clean feel while soothing the skin. This is an unscented facial cleanser so it is suitable for all skin types, but it is well suited to skin that is sensitive and prone to irritation and ideal for combination and acne prone skin. Activated charcoal has high absorptive powers, which means that it draws other elements and chemicals into itself. A little of this soap goes a very long way. For gentle use as a cleanser it is recommended to lather the soap in your hands, then gently massage into the skin. When the bar is used directly on the face is acts as a gentle exfoliator.
Use a washcloth, or a loofah, instead of your hands. Your hands have this amazing inability to produce and retain lather. Get your loofah or washcloth soapy once with a couple good rubs of the bar, and then put the bar away. The washcloth or loofah will absorb the lather and keep it going for you, so you can keep on washing. All while using less soap. A few good rubs of soap and the same lather can last for consecutive showers. Genius!
Keep your soap bar out of water! Storing soap in the stream of water and/or steam, or on a solid ledge built into the shower, will make the soap break down quicker. Have you ever opened a bar of soap, and then mysteriously just a few weeks later it’s suddenly melted into nothing? Blame that water! Use something that encourages air flow like a draining soap dish so the water can drain off and the soap can dry. The key is air circulation, so skip the fancy dishes that don’t have holes. You want holes, and the more the better.
Give the Soap Bar time to dry completely. If multiple people are using the same bar of soap from morning to night, one person right after another, the bar will never fully dry and therefore, continuously in the process of melting. However, if the bar is allowed to dry completely before being used again, it’ll last much longer. Give each person their own bar of soap – and each their own dish – allowing the bars to dry completely before using again.
